Are snacks necessary?
Just to share.
If the children eat small amount of their main meals than snacks become important as they are serve as mini-meals.
So what types of snacks are recommended?
Below is a list of advisable snacks for children 
1) Carrot sticks or bell pepper sticks which serve as finger foods.
2) Slices of fruits variety
3) Oatmeal, dried fruit or nut bars (not with sugar coating).
4) Unsugared cornflakes or baby muesli
5) Rice crispies
6) Oatmeal cookies (low-sugar)
7) Plain yoghurt mixed with fresh fruits (e.g. bananas, berries etc.)
8) Milk and milk based drinks for fulfillment of calcium intake.
